We may collect information you voluntarily provide, including your name, email address, membership information, comments, correspondence, survey responses, and any information you send through a form or by email.
Information collected automatically
When you use TAJ, we and our service providers may automatically receive information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, approximate location, pages viewed, links clicked, dates and times of visits, and other information about how the site is used.
Membership and email activity
TAJ uses Ghost to manage free memberships, member sign-in, newsletters, and comments. Ghost may process your email address and information connected with your membership. When you receive an email from us, we may record whether the email was opened and whether links in it were clicked. We also track which sources or pages lead to new member signups.

We may use information to:
• Operate, maintain, and improve TAJ.
• Create and manage free member accounts.
• Send newsletters, new-story notices, membership messages, and other communications you request.
• Respond to questions, comments, and privacy requests.
• Understand readership, traffic sources, and how visitors use the site.
• Measure the performance of articles, emails, and promotions.
• Display and evaluate advertising.
• Protect the site, members, and our rights; prevent fraud or abuse; and comply with legal obligations.
ANALYTICS
Ghost analytics
TAJ uses Ghost’s first-party web analytics, powered by Tinybird, to understand traffic and readership. Ghost describes this web analytics service as cookie-free. We also use Ghost features that measure email opens, email link clicks, member sources, and outbound links.
Google Analytics
TAJ uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site. Google Analytics may collect device and browser information, IP-derived location, page activity, referral information, and identifiers through cookies or similar technologies. Google processes this information under its own privacy policies. You can learn more at https://policies.google.com/privacy and use Google’s available browser or account controls to limit analytics collection.
COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
Cookies are small files placed on your browser or device. TAJ, Ghost, Google, and other service providers may use cookies, local storage, pixels, web beacons, IP addresses, or similar technologies to keep members signed in, remember settings, measure traffic, secure the site, and support advertising.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect sign-in, membership, commenting, or other site features.
ADVERTISING
TAJ may display advertising through Google AdSense or other advertising partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, may place or read cookies in your browser or use web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers when ads are served.
Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to show ads based on your visits to TAJ and other websites. You may manage or opt out of personalized Google advertising at https://adssettings.google.com/. You may also learn about opt-out choices from participating advertising companies at https://www.aboutads.info/choices/.
Advertising partners process information according to their own privacy policies. Depending on where you live, some advertising-related disclosures may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or use for targeted advertising under applicable privacy law, even though TAJ does not sell personal information for money.
AFFILIATE LINKS AND OUTSIDE ADVERTISERS
Some TAJ stories or pages may include affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, TAJ may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. Outside advertisers and affiliate merchants may collect information when you visit their websites. Their practices are governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.
HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the publication, including Ghost, analytics providers, email-delivery services, hosting and security providers, and advertising partners such as Google. These providers may process information for us or under their own terms and privacy policies.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to legal process, investigate fraud or abuse, protect safety or rights, or complete a merger, sale, transfer, or restructuring of the publication.
We do not sell your name or email address for money.
EMAIL CHOICES
You may unsubscribe from editorial or promotional emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in the email. We may still send messages needed to operate your membership, respond to you, or provide important service information.
DATA RETENTION AND SECURITY
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate TAJ, provide requested services, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations. Retention periods may vary by the type of information and the reason it was collected.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no website, email system, or online transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
YOUR PRIVACY CHOICES AND REQUESTS
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information, or to object to or restrict certain uses. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.
To make a privacy request, email thealgorimithjournal@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will respond as required by applicable law.
CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
TAJ is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and, when appropriate, delete it.
THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND EMBEDDED CONTENT
TAJ may link to or embed content from third-party websites and services, including social platforms, video providers, advertisers, merchants, and other publications. Those third parties may collect information independently. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their policies.
